Universe- all of space and everything in it.
Galaxy- system of billions of stars, gases and dust
Milky Way- Our home galaxy. It is in the shape of a spiral
Solar System- sun, planets, moons, and other objects
Sun- medium sized star; center of our solar system
Inner planets- planets that are rocky and have a hard surface; planets that are in front of the asteroid belt; Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars
Outer Planets- with the exception of Pluto outer planets are mostly made of gas and ice, they are in the back of the asteroid belt and they are: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
Asteroids- space rocks that are too small to be called planets
Asteroid belt- asteroids that orbit the sun between Mars and Jupiter and seperate inner and outer planets
Planets- planets are objects that are big enough to use their gravity to be in the shape of a ball.
